Jessica Stserbakova & Somer Surgit

Argentine tango brought Jessica and Somer together in Tallinn in 2012 - and has shaped their lives ever since. Today, Estonia remains their home base, where they teach regularly and continue to build a vibrant tango community around them.

Over the years, Jessica and Somer have taken their dance far beyond Tallinn, performing and teaching across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa. Their classes and intensive programmes welcome dancers at every level, while their long-term work in Estonia has helped tango grow from a passion into a true way of life for many of their students. Elegant, effortless and spontaneous are words often used to describe their style. At the heart of their dancing is something deeper: connection. Connection with each other, with the music and with the moment.

For Jessica and Somer, Argentine tango is above all the art of improvisation. Grounded in years of dance training and a strong technical foundation, their dancing never feels predetermined. Instead, it unfolds in real time - intuitive, musical and alive. Every dance becomes a conversation, shaped by trust, sensitivity and the thrill of not knowing exactly what will happen next. That same combination of artistry and precision defines them as teachers. Known for the clarity of their instruction and their ability to make even subtle ideas understandable,

Jessica and Somer have earned deep respect among dancers both in Estonia and internationally. For them, tango is not simply a dance to be learned. It is a language of connection, presence and endless possibility.
